Words cannot begin to describe the incredible feelings I have at had during sound baths given by Gongfree.

I attended two sound baths earlier this year at the Shaolin Temple on Junction Road and they were fabulous. However, I recently spent my birthday at a sound bath on Hampstead Heath. It was a truly mind blowing experience and I left feeling totally relaxed and at peace.

Joanna and team are amazingly talented people and the sessions are great fun too.

Lake of Frequency Retreat 2024

I’m still profoundly moved by all I have experienced at the retreat organised by Joanna Gogfree. It was a sacred space resonating with teachings of wisdom, healings, friendships and joy. The well organised event ensured we were gifted specially printed booklets to help guide us with the use of the plentiful instruments at hand. The added flexibility of the hosts and the organisation in general also allowed for the adjustment of the program based upon individual needs as the days unfolded for both teachers and pupils giving the whole event a bespoke feeling.

I’ve come home inspired and with so much new knowledge that is effecting me positively on all levels. Many of the techniques taught me are now part of my daily practices. Setting the dancing and yoga techniques, cultural and indigenous tribes influence's aside, I wish to add something about the location; a beautiful nature reserve with a lake and woods thrumming to the healing music of nature and an endless sky of fluffy clouds and blue. AND the food!!! It was delicious and plentiful.

It’s not often that one has the opportunity to be taught by masters like Don Conreaux and his daughter Yaelle which was a privilege alone, but they also brought in Tibetan singing classes, conch shell playing, Native American flute playing, Shruti box, singing bowls, tingshas, drumming and sound cymatics to name a few all with professional teachers in their field.

I would sincerely like to thank you all so much for your support and nurture during this unforgettable retreat. It will always remain imprinted in my heart. I am for a better phrase ‘Gong with the wind.’

The lake of Frequency, an experience I will never forget. From the moment I decided I was taking part in this amazing journey It’s been amazing. The bus journey there from Warsaw, it felt like we were going to another dimension. The “coincidences” the people who all gathered together for the Same purpose, definitely without a shadow of a doubt, divinely selected. This gong training felt like we were chosen, special, healers from all over the planet, coming together for the same reason, to help heal the earth & humanity and to be the illuminators. We were taught a wide range of instruments and techniques that I imagine would on other courses take months maybe even years to cover. At Gongfree you will find trainings, one on one treatments and events. Joanna always showed interest in music and holistic therapies.

Gong Sound Therapy Course

The course is a culmination of methods gathered from the most esteemed sound healing masters, infused with recently developed techniques that redefine the boundaries of vibrational therapy. The 7 days will consist of healing sessions.

The Gongfree Sound Therapy and Gong (INTENSIVE) is a fully accredited diploma course nationally and internationally by the CMA ( Complementary Medical Association) and IAOTH (International Association of Therapists) as well as IGCT (International Guild of Complementary Therapists)

I teach it bespoke in North London on a one on one basis, which assures that you get the best for you. There are 6 days days which will consist of healing sessions, learning about the so important volume control, understanding how to get the sound correctly, how to stroke a large gong and techniques, handheld gong techniques, learning how to perform with crystal singing bows, tibetan metal bowls, tuning forks and numerous sound healing instruments from conch shells, shruti boxes, koshi bells, bird whistles, tongue drums to name a few. I teach in line with Don Conreaux’s legacy.

You will also receive an extensive manual. The course is fluid and I also mould it to your needs and interests.

I make sure you try out different gong makers, different mallets and flumies. We discuss what is the best way for you to set up.We will also learn about the history of the gong, how to look after your instruments and most importantly how to protect yourself.

The last intensive 7th day of training is held voluntarily during a gong bath which we will agree the date with you in due course.
